How the O2 eSIM works

1. Choose your plan and pay with PayPal or card.
2. We email your eSIM QR code, usually within minutes.
3. On your phone open Settings → Mobile data → Add eSIM and scan the QR code.
4. Your UK number is ready to use – no plastic SIM, nothing posted.

Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked. Each QR code can be installed once, on one phone.

Important: the O2 eSIM must be activated while you are in the UK. After that it works abroad under O2’s roaming terms.

Keeping your O2 number

O2 usually expects the SIM to be used or topped up within about 6 months. Once you have the SIM you can top it up any time with our O2 top up vouchers, sent by email in minutes – handy if you live abroad and want to keep your UK number.

Questions

Does the O2 eSIM work on my phone?
It works on any unlocked phone that supports eSIM – most iPhones from the XS onwards and recent Samsung, Google Pixel and other Android phones. Check Settings → Mobile data for “Add eSIM”.

How fast will I get it?
The QR code is emailed after payment, usually within minutes. Check your spam folder if you cannot see it.

Can I use it outside the UK?
The O2 eSIM must be activated in the UK first; after that you can use it abroad under O2’s roaming rules.
