Indian recharges include GST, so a talktime top up of ₹100 adds a little less than ₹100 of usable balance. You see the price in pounds before you pay. Prices depend on the network, because each network charges us differently.
How to send a top up to India
- Choose the network the number is on now, then the amount.
- Enter the India mobile number with the country code, for example +91 98100 12345. Please check it carefully – credit sent to a wrong number cannot be taken back.
- Pay by PayPal, debit or credit card, or bank transfer.
- We send the top up and email you a confirmation. Most top ups arrive within minutes.
Which networks can I top up?
- Airtel – talktime top ups from ₹10 to ₹1,000
- Vi (Vodafone Idea) – talktime top ups from ₹10 to ₹100
- Jio – Jio has no plain talktime, so these amounts activate a Jio plan with unlimited calls, daily data and 100 SMS a day (₹239 includes 1.5GB a day, ₹349 and ₹719 include 2GB a day; validity is set by Jio)

Questions
How long does a India top up take? Usually a few minutes after payment. Bank transfer orders are sent once the money arrives.
Can I recharge a Jio number with talktime? Jio only sells plans, not talktime. Pick one of the Jio amounts and the matching plan with calls and data is activated on the number.
The number moved from Airtel to Jio – which do I choose? Choose the network the number is on now. Indian numbers keep their digits when they switch network, so the first digits don’t tell you the network.
Can I top up a postpaid number? Top ups are for prepaid numbers. Check with the person you are sending to if you are unsure.
